Why We’re Here

We’re here to transform lives through brain-based healing and scientific innovation…because we believe you deserve to live your life to the fullest.

Meet Our Doctors

Our doctors are equal parts NUCCA experts, “science geeks,” and champions of whole-body healing and transformation. We are relentless in our desire to use the best of science and integrative practices to restore the connection between body and brain, renew tissue and systems, and enable you to thrive... for life.

The Vital team also includes an Interprofessional Community of the best practitioners in Greater Pasadena. Medical doctors, naturopaths, physical therapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, fitness experts, behavioral health experts and many other health professionals comprise an Interprofessional Community that will continue to enrich lives long after the pain subsides.

Dr. Licata is founder of Vital Head and Spinal Care, and co-founder of the Pasadena Interprofessional Community. His focus is on Applied Neuroscience, Chronic Pain, and Interprofessional Collaboration.

Having cared for thousands of patients with chronic pain, migraines, and concussions, Dr. Licata is keenly aware of the importance of restoring and improving brain function to achieve health and performance. He is one of only 256 doctors in the world trained in NUCCA spinal care and one of only a handful in Greater Los Angeles. He is a member of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractors Association Council on Upper Cervical Care, and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.

Dr Licata speaks nationally on Brain Health, Concussion Management, and the role of the brain in Chronic Pain and Migraines, and has been featured on ABC, Huffington Post, and national podcast interviews.

Dr. Radwanski is the Clinic Operations Director at Vital Head and Spinal Care. Her focus is on Research, Migraines, and Pediatrics. She has extensively studied the complexities of the craniocervical junction and the effects that a misalignment has on the brain, leading to chronic headaches, chronic pain, and intractable post concussion syndrome.

She personally suffered from chronic tension headaches and migraines throughout her adolescence. In her early 20’s, she experienced how a precise, gentle, biomechanics-based NUCCA correction could allow the body to heal. She left her PhD program to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree to be able to provide the same NUCCA care that changed her life.

Before moving to Pasadena in 2016, Dr. Radwanski worked with a diverse group of healthcare providers and patients in New York City, including chiropractic care for veterans at several VA Hospitals.

She is an active member of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractors Association Council on Upper Cervical Care, and California Chiropractic Association.
